A new life in Christ

We were living lives that are/were completely contrary to God's perfect nature. His perfect nature and our imperfect sinful nature could not coexist here on earth or in heaven. However, because of His unconditional love for us, Jesus, God’s Son, came to earth and was born a man. He lived a sinless life and died a hideous death on a cross. The death that He experienced was for all people past, present and future. Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection closed that gap, His life for ours, and now we have access and favor with the Father.

There is a new life waiting for all who respond to His goodness (Romans 2:4). When we do, we are adopted into His family and become His sons and daughters.

Make no mistake, it was God's unconditional love for us that put Jesus on the cross

  • John 3:16-17 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

  • 1Corinthians 15:3-4 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.

  • Romans 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

  • Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
